This woman is flirting with a man. IS THIS FEMINIST?

Oh God, the red flags! To enjoy flirting is to bask in your own privilege over those who are less experienced or socially secure than you. To make it worse, this woman’s choice of a flirting partner couldn’t be more problematic. She’s expressing a preference here for his sartorial and grooming choices that indicate understated masculinity. Having such preferences is the worst form of gender policing and culturally oppressive to men who prefer a little more bling.

In general, feeling—much less having—attraction necessarily excludes those for whom you don’t feel attraction. Best to avoid it altogether. PROBLEMATIC.
